What effect does vitamin C have on the skin?

In this way it maintains the natural skin protection barrier. In addition, vitamin E regulates the moisture content and makes the skin more elastic. It also has an accelerating effect on wound healing.

Retinol is also found in significant amounts

Rose hips are full of carotenoids. This is a precursor of vitamin A, also known as provitamin A, which stands for the ingredient retinol, which is popular in cosmetics.

Retinol is an efficient active ingredient against wrinkles and lines and is therefore particularly popular with mature skin. It speeds up the whole process of skin renewal and promotes collagen production. This not only has a firming and smoothing effect, but also refines the pores.
